Diagnostics

In addition to our transmission expertise, we also carry out in-depth diagnostics using up-to-date diagnostic platforms.

We use a variety of professional diagnostic platforms including: Auto Logic, Autel MaxiSys, Snap On Diagnostics and Launch

We also have dedicated main dealer equipment including: Mercedes STAR, Ford IDS, VAG-COM (vw, skoda, seat and audi) and TECH-2 (saab and vauxhall).

Gearbox Repairs

Gearbox repairs needn’t be costly. Generally a main dealer would try and convince you to completely replace your transmission with a new unit, which results in quotes typically in the thousands.

At Essex Automatics we carry out Gearbox Oil Servicing. Replacing your gearbox oil at the correct intervals is crucial to prolonging the life of your transmission and can often help cure very early signs of transmissions faults. We carry out our servicing using only Genuine Manufacturer Oil and Genuine parts ranging from gaskets and seals to filters and sump pans.
